Yes you read that right !
Christian Bolland has been a leading light of the electronic music scene since the earliest of days of rave. His first EP’s such as the seminal “Ravesignal III” featuring the huge techno anthem “Horsepower” appeared on the earliest releases of Belgium imprint R&S records along with all time classic techno L.P. the 4th Sign.
In 1996 His track “Sugar is Sweeter” went to number 1 in the US dance charts and 11 in the UK nationals, he’s remixed just about everyone from The Prodigy to Depeche Mode and the track “It ain’t gonna be me“ appeared on the soundtrack of classic rave film Human Traffic.
In more recent years Christian has been concentrating on live music, but is now by his own admission “back in the game” and has started recording new techno tracks. After a recent impromptu back to back session in Paris, D.A.V.E. the Drummer & Christian formed an alliance and he has agreed to play for you lucky people!
So welcome to Hydraulix Christian, we cannot wait to hear what you have in store for us.
Resistohr
Originally from Brasil, the dynamic Duo of David Merlino and Anne Gelfei have been residing in Berlin for over 10 years now. Otherwise known as The Pet Duo, they started life as a DJ tag team in Sao Paulo, with an absolutely obsessive knowledge of techno and electronic music they quickly become one of the cities top DJ names.
After playing an event with DJ Rush in Brasil, he offered them a tour or Europe with him, there they quickly made new fans and decided to stay in that part of the world, where they have toured relentlessly ever since.
Possibly two of the most dedicated hard working people in techno, they have now become Resistohr to allow them to play the amazing lower BPM techno which is around today while keeping The Pet Duo name for the harder faster stuff of the old school, but don’t ket that put you off.
Expect a set of dark industrial tinged techno bristling with energy and fun.
Marcello Perri
Marcello has been living in Columbia for the last couple of years, he’s been banging out remixes and working in his studio over there, and I know he simply cannot wait to come over and show us all what he’s been getting up to.
Julian Liberator
The Liberator who broke free of the restrains of acid techno with his seminal 4X4 label and a ton of inventive and whacked out material. Julian’s Dj sets are alway a wonder to behold and we cannot wait get him in the DJ booth at The Cause.
Thermobee & James Kinetec
The two troublemakers from the much loved Hackney radio show will be causing mayhem in a special back to back set.
ROOM 2
Chris Liberator
The head honcho of Stay Up Forever, Chris needs little introduction to the London techno massive. He’s been around since the beginning of time, has made some of the most important techno tracks in the world and spearheaded the London Acid techno scene for well over 20 years.
As always Chris will be rocking out some of the best of new acid techno vinyl alongside some classics. A true master of the turntables Chris’s love for vinyl has never diminished and we are so lucky to have him come to play for us.
Aaron Liberator
The man the myth the legend, often playing a supporting role, Aaron’s name is as closely linked to the Acid Techno scene as Chris’s.
Aaron is also one of the original Stay Up Forever team. Aaron also ran Nuclear free Zone at London’s now sadly defunct club 414 in Brixton pretty much single handed for many years and has run many events in London for the underground scene.
Sterling Moss
Sterling Moss is renowned for his energy and his drive for perfection. His events have been off the hook culminating in a huge party at the Steelyard in London last year.
His studio output is non-stop, often working with names such as Mark EG and Steve Procter. Sterling also holds down a load of DJ residencies playing many different styles as well as playing acid techno all over the world.
Recently Sterling has been playing some enormous raves in France, bringing the London acid sound to new audiences and opening the door for many other artists. His Rebeltek label and parties under the same name have been rocking and we are looking forward to having him play for us on this special night.
The Geezer
Guy Macaffer aka The Geezer, one of the hardest working studio guys we know. His RAW imprint is responsible for some huge classics in the 1990s. Guy is currently performing as the Geezer, which is a hybrid live mash up of his current tunes, but also he performs as Aah Sccop, where he plays a new form of techno mixed with reggae. Whatever Guy player for us on the night we can’t wait to hear it.
Rachel Rackitt
Rachel has been the backbone of many DJs touring schedule, working as a professional DJ agent for many years there’s not much about DJing or events that Rachel doesn’t know about.
Hailing from Croydon, appearing as guest vocalist on the hit single Croydon Girl, Rachel has been part of the London Underground free party scene for many years, playing for just about every sound system from Underground Sound through to Immersion Rachel has a unique style of deep acid and techno and we can’t wait to see what she will play for us.
Gizelle
Last but absolutely not least our Gizelle is really a miracle of a DJ. It has been said that she can bring even the quietist dance floor to life and she has proven this to be true many times.
Recording under the name Rebel Yelle, Gizelle has made some classic acid tracks in the past as well as having DJ’ed at about a million free parties. Her style is always fresh and she is always calm and collected as she whips people up into a frenzy.
