As 2016 marches onward Hydraulix is drawing closer and closer to the first release with Labelworx. Based in the north of England, Labelworx have made a huge reputation for themselves as being one of the biggest digital distribution and online promo services around, and we are very happy to be working with them.
The Labelworx online admin office is amazing, so now it’s that much easier to upload the tracks and set release dates, plus the accounting reports will mean we will not lose track of who is owed money and which tracks are selling best. The idea is to try to propel Hydraulix into the modern era of online sales and distribution, and to retain full control of the direction of the label, the schedule and of course the music.
New releases are building up here at Hydraulix HQ , but first we have to get through the back catalog. The old back catalog was uploaded years ago with bad generic artwork and badly mastered tracks. Who would have thought that the level of mastering achievable now would have changed so much? We got it right on iTunes and Spotify because they took hydraulix only recently, but the Beatport and Juno listings remain pretty bad.
So we are completely re-uploading the label from scratch, all the tracks are digitally remastered, with new artwork, and correct tracklistings, they should now match the old vinyl catalog exactly. Look out for the new remastered Hydraulix on Beatport and grab yourself some classic techno in full digital clarity
